The Balkan Ecology Project is a permaculture-inspired, grassroots project based in South Eastern Europe, Bulgaria. Their mission is to create and encourage practices that provide food and other resources while enhancing biodiversity. The Balkan Ecology Project runs seminars and activities all year long and maintains a forest garden/permaculture plant nursery with the goal of serving as a demonstration and instructional venue for people from all over the world. Guests are welcome during their twice-yearly Open Day events or by appointment.
