Botany Bonanza Bundle

Tom Elpel, author of Botany in a Day, dropped by to play botany card games with students as an unadvertised bonus event in the 2024 Certified Garden Master Course.

Tom introduced the essential patterns to recognize 45,000 different plants to their correct families. Students had a blast playing games like Memory, Slap Flower, Crazy Flowers, and Shanleya's Harvest. As one participant said, "I learned more about botany in the past two hours than in the previous twenty-five years."

Tom is offering a special "Botany Bonanza" discount for four books and two games.

Do you want to learn plants by the thousands?
Imagine encountering a plant you've never before seen, yet instantly recognizing it. That's the magic and power of the patterns method of plant identification.

Related plants have similar characteristics for identification and often similar uses. Learn to identify plant families according to their common features, and you will instantly recognize other family members as you encounter them, even when traveling thousands of miles away from home.

For example, plants of the Mustard family have 4 petals plus 6 stamens (4 tall and 2 short). Stamens are the male part of the flower, which is easy to remember because they always "stay men." If you find a flower with this combination, then you know it is a member of the Mustard family, and it is edible, typically as a spicy addition to a salad. There are more than 3,000 plants in the Mustard family, so you have just learned to identify 3,000 edible plants across six continents.

Want to learn more?
Start with the basics by reading Shanleya's Quest: A Botany Adventure for Kids Ages 9 to 99 to learn to identify 45,000 plants to the correct families. Play the Shanleya's Quest Patterns in Plants Card Game to nurture your instant recognition skills with fun games like Memory, Slap Flower, Crazy Flowers, Wildflower Rummy, and Shanleya's Harvest.
Take your plant identification skills to the next level with Shanleya's Quest 2: Botany Adventure at the Fallen Tree. The book and game will teach you 30,000 more plants, making plant identification fun for people of all ages.

Dive deeper with Thomas Elpel's best-selling book Botany in a Day: The Patterns Method of Plant Identification. Then put your skills to the test with Foraging the Mountain West: Gourmet Edible Plants, Mushrooms, and Meat.

Botany Bonanza includes all six of these items for one low price. A $126 value now only $84!

I am anxiously awaiting my new "Botany Bundle" and finished watching the Botany in a Day Tutorial. Learning, in my opinion, is amazing! I've such a long list of things to learn I may never accomplish it. Botany, however, (Thanks to Thomas E.) is now attainable! Whenever studying the book is daunting, the cards can help me, in a fun and entertaining way, learn and practice identifying the different plants!

Just from this video alone, I can identify carrots from hemlock! I'm equally excited about the foraging book!

I'm gonna teach you a lesson! Start by looking at this tiny ad:
