Summary

Paul, Jen and Josiah continue their discussion about the upcoming Jamboree at Wheaton Labs. Before the jamboree starts, Paul hopes to build a solarium and convert storage areas to bunks.

Track 4's theme is earth and fire . Alan Booker's spring terrace is dependent on finding the find right place with the right geology. Otherwise Paul's humus well will be constructed which is as yet an untested idea. The passive garden heater will have three 20 ft wells, each a different design, surrounding the lemon tree to stop it freezing. Sepp says it's impossible. A dry stack moon gate is also planned.

Track 5's theme is wood and cob. Uncle Mud will be leading the rocket forge build. A roundwood pavillion is planned and a rocket mass heater to assist the solar food dehydrator will be constructed. Several cob kitchen sinks will be built so that experiments with waterproofing them can be carried out. Also a trombe wall which circulates air without electricity.

Track 6 is all about electricity. The electric tractor needs tweaking, including a pot riveted sheet metal cover for any exposed electronics and new wheels and tyres for all weather use. The trailer needs side rails so it can be used with the tractor for lab tours. An insulated crock pot will be designed that will use far less electricity. Also a heliostat that tracks the sun and focuses light where you want it. A permanent solar power system to supply a tiny house, ie Allerton Abbey, will be constructed and installed. There will also be a repair cafe.
