Paypal makes you give them your phone number so they can sell it to millions of SPAMers. I would buy it if there were options other than that.

Click on the thumbs up (or "+1") for this post if you wanna pay an extra twenty bucks for an "HD download" (about 10 gigs).

It seems that sometimes people want to get a download version.  I suppose if there are quite a few, i could arrange it.  

"tiny download" would be 960x540 and probably a bit less than a gig.

"HD download" would be 1920x1080 and probably be something around ten gigs.

If there are about 20 people interested in one of these, i could do the work to make it happen.

Just finished watching the movie. It is really good! I liked how the chapters are done, this makes it easier to find things. Cool to see the Truly Passive Greenhouse and Allerton Abbey and how Allerton Abbey has changed since the first tour of Wheaton Labs.

I still can't figure out where the link to watch the movie is. I paid the $10 months ago and I'm logged in. I don't see any embedded link and there was wasn't anything I could find in the email stating it was ready. Would someone please help. Thank you. Barbara

Make sure you're on page 1 of this thread. The movie is embedded in the first post. Look for the large picture below the list of contents in the movie. On my screen, the large picture has the words, "permies.com PRESENTS" right in the middle of it.

If you don't see the picture, double-check and make sure the web page has loaded properly. Maybe something in your web browser program is blocking it...?

I watched this tour yesterday, an hour at a time, and it was excellent. I appreciate the dots on the progress bar that indicate discrete sections of the tour. Nice work, everyone! :)

I have tried to find the link in both firefox and explorer now with no luck. There is nothing that shows up. I have no idea to check if the page has loaded properly. As to my knowledge I haven't had problems with pages loading properly. I would just like to watch the movie. What should I do?

I cannot find any info on you having purchased the movie.  It is not in your "my stuff".  I also searched for your email address in paypal transactions - nothing.

It looks like you wisely dropped the hotmail account.  That's why I couldn't find the transaction.  It was paid for with a hotmail account and this account uses yahoo.  

There is a "shawn" with the hotmail account on permies that has full access to the movie.

I have finally got it to work! It was connected to my husband's account (he's Shawn) We both share the paypal. I don't know how things got so messed up! But I have it now! Thank you for your help. Barbara

Hi Paul or whoever can help me out....

I'm in Canada and purchased through the gumroad link, I got the receipt of purchase, but no code or anything.  The item also doesn't appear in "My Stuff".  I just updated my email, so perhaps timing messed things up?  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure that if you've bought it through Gumroad, that once the movie is out, it'll be there on Gumroad for you to watch.

I'll take a look and see if the video has made it over to Gumroad!

I have not put it onto gumroad yet.  

I went to gumroad right now to get the upload started - and gumroad sent some sort of security thing to permiespa.  If you can forward that to me, i might be able to do this today.

Uploading now.  This could take a few hours.

Gregg, it seems that you bought it as a "gift code". When you buy something as a gift code, you can either send it to someone or redeem for yourself. Since paul has given you direct access to the item, I just cancelled that gift code for you.

FYI - I noticed that you have a bunch of gift codes never redeemed. To see a list of these gift codes, go to your ledger and then select "DM threads - gifts I manage" from the left.

I think it is ready, give it a try.

I seem to have a problem accessing this. I preordered, got a message from Gumroad saying there was an issue with my card and they couldn't take payment. The card they had should have been fine, but I changed it to a different one. Now the movie shows in my library there, but I can't access it here, and I can't see how to find out if payment went through or not. Can someone help, please?

It sounds like you live outside the united states.  This means that your country has ideas about tax stuff far beyond what we are capable of dealing with here.  On the other hand, gumroad has taken on the complications of tax stuff.  

So rather than say "you cannot buy it, at all, ever" we have gone with "you can buy it at gumroad."

So once you buy it, it will be at gumroad, but not at permies.

Let's take care of the first part.  

When you look at the first post of this https://permies.com/w/tour it should show the movie embedded there.  You should be able to make it go to full screen if you want.

Does it work for you?

Sorry, I'm having issues with Gumroad! No matter what card info I give them, they can't process my payment (weird, as I use these cards online most days!), and they've cancelled my preorder.
Would some lovely person in the US be kind enough to buy a gift token for the movie, pass it on to me, and I'll pay you for it via Paypal? No UK VAT would be involved as gifts of less than £3,000 are tax-exempt.
